Upcycling
Utilizing upcycled products for redesign can conserve the energy required for disassembly and diminish the demand for producing new items.

Carbon footprint
By redesigning the products and using them by the local, carbon emissions from transportation and waste management systems can be significantly reduced.

Resource conservation
Within the redesigned market, there is a strong emphasis on maximizing material reuse as a central strategy to extend the lifespans of products.

Community engagement
The market is more than just a place for transactions; it serves as a vital hub for community engagement, encouraging active participation in community life.
Area design
The concept for the redesign market aims to transform the social hub in Gabriel's Wharf into a space where people can exchange and discuss design ideas. It provides both designers and DIY enthusiasts with a place to implement these ideas collaboratively.
